Whiskies
Whiskies are distilled alcoholic beverages made from fermented grain mash. The grains used can include barley, corn, rye, and wheat. The production process involves mashing the grains, fermenting the mash, distilling the liquid, and aging it in wooden barrels, typically made of oak. The aging process contributes to the flavor and character of the whisky.
There are several types of whiskies, including Scotch, Irish whiskey, bourbon, and rye whiskey. Each type has its own unique production methods and flavor profiles. For example, Scotch is primarily made in Scotland and must be aged for at least three years, while bourbon is an American whiskey that must contain at least 51% corn.
