Waist Measurement
Waist measurement is the distance around the narrowest part of the torso, typically located above the belly button and below the rib cage. It is an important metric used in health assessments, clothing sizing, and fitness evaluations. Accurate waist measurement can help determine body fat distribution and assess the risk of health issues related to obesity.
To measure the waist, use a flexible measuring tape. Stand up straight, breathe normally, and wrap the tape around the waist at the narrowest point. Ensure the tape is snug but not tight, and record the measurement in inches or centimeters for reference.
