WWOOF
WWOOF, or World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms, is a global network that connects volunteers with organic farmers. Participants, known as WWOOFers, work on farms in exchange for food, accommodation, and hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture. This program promotes learning about organic farming practices while fostering cultural exchange.
Founded in the 1970s, WWOOF has grown to include thousands of farms in various countries. Volunteers can choose from a wide range of farming activities, from planting and harvesting to animal care. This initiative supports local communities and encourages environmentally friendly farming methods.
