WASP-39
WASP-39 is an exoplanet located about 319 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Virgo. It was discovered in 2011 and is classified as a hot Jupiter, meaning it is a gas giant similar in size to Jupiter but orbits very close to its star, resulting in high temperatures.
The planet orbits its host star, WASP-39, every 4 days. Recent studies have revealed that WASP-39b has a unique atmosphere rich in water vapor, which provides valuable insights into the composition and formation of exoplanets. This makes it an important target for further astronomical research.
