Vyasa
Vyasa, also known as Vedavyasa, is a revered sage in Hindu tradition, credited with composing the Mahabharata, one of the longest epic poems in the world. He is also recognized for compiling the Vedas, the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism, which form the foundation of Indian philosophy and spirituality.
In addition to his literary contributions, Vyasa is considered a central figure in the Puranas, a genre of ancient Indian literature that includes mythological stories and teachings. He is often depicted as a wise sage with a deep understanding of the universe and is celebrated during the festival of Guru Purnima as a symbol of knowledge and wisdom.
