Viverrids
Viverrids are a family of small to medium-sized mammals known as Viverridae. This family includes species such as civets, genets, and linsangs. They are primarily found in Africa and Asia, inhabiting forests, grasslands, and urban areas. Viverrids are characterized by their elongated bodies, short legs, and long tails, which help them balance while climbing.
These animals are mostly nocturnal and have a varied diet that includes fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. Viverrids are also known for their distinctive scent glands, which they use for communication and marking territory. Their unique adaptations make them important members of their ecosystems.
