Genets
Genets are small, carnivorous mammals belonging to the family Eupleridae, primarily found in Africa and the Mediterranean. They have long bodies, short legs, and a long, bushy tail, resembling a mix between a cat and a mongoose. Genets are known for their spotted or striped fur, which helps them blend into their surroundings.
These animals are primarily nocturnal and are skilled climbers, often hunting birds, rodents, and insects in trees. Genets are solitary creatures, using scent markings to establish territory. They play a role in their ecosystems by controlling pest populations and dispersing seeds through their diet.
