Civets
Civets are small, nocturnal mammals belonging to the family Viverridae. They are primarily found in tropical Asia and Africa. Known for their distinctive appearance, civets have elongated bodies, short legs, and a long tail. They are often recognized by their unique facial markings and fur patterns, which can vary by species.
Civets are omnivorous, feeding on fruits, insects, and small animals. One of their notable contributions to the ecosystem is their role in seed dispersal. Additionally, the civet cat is famous for producing kopi luwak, a type of coffee made from beans that have passed through their digestive system.
