Vittoriano
The Vittoriano, also known as the Altare della Patria, is a monumental structure located in Rome, Italy. It was built in honor of Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of unified Italy, and serves as a symbol of national pride. Completed in 1935, the Vittoriano is made of white Carrara marble and is situated in Piazza Venezia. It houses the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, commemorating fallen soldiers from World War I. The site is a popular tourist attraction, offering panoramic views of the city from its terrace.
