Vito Rizzuto
Vito Rizzuto was a prominent Italian-Canadian mobster, known for his leadership of the Rizzuto crime family based in Montreal. Born on February 21, 1946, in Sicily, Italy, he immigrated to Canada in the 1950s. Rizzuto became a key figure in organized crime, establishing connections with various criminal organizations, including the Bonanno crime family in the United States.
Rizzuto's influence grew throughout the 1970s and 1980s, as he expanded the family's operations in drug trafficking and other illegal activities. He was arrested in 2004 and served a prison sentence in the U.S. before returning to Canada, where he continued to face challenges from rival gangs until his death on December 23, 2013.
