Virginia-class submarine
The Virginia-class submarine is a class of nuclear-powered fast attack submarines used by the United States Navy. Designed for a variety of missions, these submarines can conduct anti-submarine warfare, intelligence gathering, and special operations. They are known for their advanced technology, stealth capabilities, and improved sonar systems.
Each Virginia-class submarine is approximately 377 feet long and can carry a crew of about 134 personnel. They are equipped with torpedoes and can launch Tomahawk cruise missiles, making them versatile in both offensive and defensive roles. The class is intended to replace the older Los Angeles-class submarines.
