Los Angeles-class submarines
The Los Angeles-class submarines are a class of nuclear-powered fast attack submarines used by the United States Navy. They were designed to conduct a variety of missions, including anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface ship warfare, and intelligence gathering. The first submarine of this class, the USS Los Angeles, was commissioned in 1976.
These submarines are equipped with advanced sonar systems and can carry a mix of torpedoes and cruise missiles. With a length of about 362 feet, they can operate at depths greater than 800 feet and have a crew of around 130 personnel, making them vital assets in naval operations.
