Viking Weapons
The Vikings used a variety of weapons in their raids and battles. Their primary weapon was the sword, often made of iron and designed for slashing and thrusting. They also carried axes, which were versatile tools for both combat and daily tasks. The spear was another common weapon, favored for its reach and ease of use in throwing.
In addition to these melee weapons, Vikings utilized shields for protection. Typically round and made of wood, shields were often reinforced with metal. The bow and arrows were also employed for ranged attacks, allowing Vikings to strike from a distance during raids.
