Vervet monkey
The Vervet monkey is a small primate native to Africa, particularly found in countries like Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa. They are easily recognizable by their distinctive black face and bright greenish-gray fur. Vervet monkeys live in social groups called troops, which can consist of up to 50 individuals.
These monkeys are known for their intelligence and adaptability, often foraging for food in trees and on the ground. Their diet mainly consists of fruits, leaves, and insects. Vervet monkeys communicate using a variety of vocalizations, each signaling different types of threats or social interactions within the troop.
