Venus of Hohle Fels
The Venus of Hohle Fels is a prehistoric figurine discovered in 2008 in the Hohle Fels cave in Germany. Dating back to around 35,000 to 40,000 years ago, it is one of the oldest known representations of a human figure. The figurine is carved from mammoth ivory and stands about 6 centimeters tall, featuring exaggerated female features.
This artifact is part of the Upper Paleolithic period and is associated with the Aurignacian culture.
