Hohle Fels Cave
Hohle Fels Cave is an archaeological site located in the Swabian Jura region of Germany. It is known for its significant prehistoric findings, including artifacts from the Upper Paleolithic period. The cave has yielded some of the oldest known figurative art, such as the famous Venus of Hohle Fels, a small statuette representing a female figure.
Discovered in 2008, the cave has provided valuable insights into early human life and culture. Researchers have found tools, animal remains, and other objects that illustrate the lifestyle of the early modern humans who inhabited the area around 40,000 years ago.
