Ventral Roots
Ventral roots are a part of the spinal cord that carry motor information away from the central nervous system to the muscles. They emerge from the spinal cord and are responsible for transmitting signals that enable movement. Each spinal nerve has a ventral root that connects to specific muscles in the body.
These roots work in conjunction with dorsal roots, which carry sensory information to the spinal cord. Together, they form spinal nerves that facilitate communication between the brain and the rest of the body, allowing for coordinated movement and response to sensory stimuli.
