Venera Program
The Venera Program was a series of Soviet space missions aimed at exploring the planet Venus. Initiated in the early 1960s, the program included multiple spacecraft that successfully conducted flybys, orbiters, and landers. The missions provided valuable data about Venus's atmosphere, surface conditions, and geological features.
Notably, Venera 7 became the first spacecraft to transmit data from the surface of another planet in 1970. Subsequent missions, such as Venera 9 and Venera 13, further advanced our understanding of Venus, revealing its harsh environment, including high temperatures and pressure, as well as its thick, toxic atmosphere.
