Vasily III
Vasily III was the Grand Prince of Moscow from 1505 until his death in 1533. He was the son of Ivan III and played a significant role in consolidating the power of the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Under his rule, he expanded the territory of Moscow and strengthened its central authority, laying the groundwork for the future Russian state.
Vasily III is also known for his efforts to reform the military and improve the administration of his realm. He faced challenges from neighboring states, including Lithuania and Sweden, but successfully maintained Moscow's dominance in the region during his reign.
