Ivan III
Ivan III, also known as Ivan the Great, was the Grand Prince of Moscow from 1462 to 1505. He is credited with unifying the Russian principalities and laying the foundation for the centralized Russian state. Under his rule, Moscow expanded its territory and influence, effectively ending Mongol dominance over Russia.
Ivan III was also known for his ambitious building projects, including the construction of the Kremlin in Moscow, which became a symbol of Russian power. He established a strong autocratic government and was the first ruler to adopt the title of "Tsar," setting the stage for future Russian monarchs.
