V-Brake
A V-Brake is a type of bicycle brake that uses two arms to squeeze brake pads against the rim of the wheel. This design provides strong stopping power and is commonly found on mountain bikes and some road bikes. V-Brakes are easy to adjust and maintain, making them a popular choice for many cyclists.
The mechanism of a V-Brake is activated by pulling a cable connected to the brake levers on the handlebars. When the lever is squeezed, the cable tightens, causing the arms to pivot and press the brake pads against the rim. This action slows down or stops the bicycle effectively.
