Ustad Vilayat Khan
Ustad Vilayat Khan was a renowned Indian sitar virtuoso, celebrated for his exceptional skill and innovative style. Born on August 28, 1928, in Gwalior, India, he was a prominent figure in the world of classical music and a key proponent of the Hindustani classical music tradition. Khan was also a composer and teacher, influencing many musicians through his teachings. He was the son of the legendary sitar player Ustad Inayat Khan and belonged to the Imdadkhani gharana, a prominent school of sitar playing.
