Uroš Predić
Uroš Predić was a prominent Serbian painter born on December 24, 1857, in the village of Orlovat, near Novi Sad. He is best known for his realistic portraits and historical scenes, which often reflect the cultural and social life of Serbia during his time. Predić studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and later became a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
Throughout his career, Predić created numerous significant works, including the famous painting “The Last Supper.” His art is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of human emotions. Uroš Predić passed away on December 12, 1953, leaving a lasting legacy in Serbian art.
