Sava Šumanović
Sava Šumanović was a prominent Serbian painter born on December 24, 1896, in the town of Šabac. He is best known for his contributions to the modern art movement in Serbia during the early 20th century. His work often featured vibrant colors and expressive forms, reflecting both impressionism and post-impressionism influences.
Šumanović studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade and later in Paris, where he was inspired by the European avant-garde. His artistic career was cut short when he was tragically killed in 1942 during World War II. Today, he is celebrated as one of Serbia's most important artists.
