United Iraqi Alliance
The United Iraqi Alliance (UIA) is a political coalition in Iraq that was formed in 2005. It primarily consists of various Shia political parties and groups, aiming to represent the interests of the Shia community in the country. The alliance emerged after the fall of Saddam Hussein and played a significant role in the formation of the Iraqi government.
The UIA has participated in several elections, including the 2005 and 2010 parliamentary elections. It has been influential in shaping Iraq's political landscape, often working alongside other coalitions such as the Kurdish Alliance and the Iraqi National List to form a government.
