Umaru Musa Yar'Adua
Umaru Musa Yar'Adua was a Nigerian politician who served as the President of Nigeria from 2007 until his death in 2010. He was born on August 16, 1951, in Katsina State and was a member of the People's Democratic Party. Before becoming president, he was the governor of Katsina State from 1999 to 2007.
Yar'Adua was known for his commitment to good governance and the rule of law. His administration focused on addressing issues such as corruption and the Niger Delta crisis. He was the first Nigerian president to openly acknowledge his health challenges, which ultimately led to his passing on May 5, 2010.
