Udege
The Udege are an indigenous people living primarily in the Russian Far East, particularly in the Primorsky Krai region. They are part of the larger Tungusic group and traditionally engage in hunting, fishing, and gathering. Their culture is closely tied to the natural environment, and they have a deep respect for the forests and rivers that sustain them.
Historically, the Udege have faced challenges due to external influences, including Russian colonization and modernization. Today, efforts are being made to preserve their language and cultural practices, as well as to improve their living conditions and rights within the Russian Federation.
