USS Sacramento (AOE-1)
The USS Sacramento (AOE-1) was a fast combat support ship in the United States Navy, commissioned in 1965. Designed to provide logistical support to naval forces, it was capable of delivering fuel, ammunition, and supplies to ships at sea. The vessel played a crucial role during various military operations, ensuring that fleet units remained operational.
Throughout its service, the USS Sacramento participated in numerous exercises and deployments, including operations during the Vietnam War. The ship was decommissioned in 2005, marking the end of its nearly 40-year service life, and it was later scrapped.
