USS Seattle (AOE-3)
The USS Seattle (AOE-3) was a fast combat support ship of the United States Navy, launched in 1968. Designed to provide logistical support to naval forces, it could carry fuel, ammunition, and supplies to ships at sea. The vessel played a crucial role in various operations, ensuring that fleet units remained operational without returning to port.
Throughout its service, the USS Seattle participated in numerous exercises and deployments, including operations during the Gulf War. The ship was decommissioned in 2005 and later sold for scrapping, marking the end of its nearly four decades of service to the U.S. Navy.
