USS New Mexico (SSN-779)
The USS New Mexico (SSN-779) is a nuclear-powered attack submarine of the Virginia class, designed for a variety of missions, including anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface ship warfare, and intelligence gathering. Commissioned in 2010, it is named after the state of New Mexico and is the second ship to bear the name.
