Virginia class
The Virginia class is a class of nuclear-powered fast attack submarines used by the United States Navy. Designed for a variety of missions, these submarines can conduct anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface ship warfare, and intelligence gathering. They are known for their advanced technology, stealth capabilities, and improved sonar systems.
Each Virginia-class submarine is equipped with 12 Tomahawk cruise missile launchers and can carry special operations forces. The class was developed to replace the older Los Angeles class submarines and features a more efficient design, allowing for greater operational flexibility and reduced life-cycle costs.
