USS McCoy (DD-103) History
The USS McCoy (DD-103) was a Clemson-class destroyer of the United States Navy, launched on 18 December 1918. It was commissioned on 24 June 1920 and served primarily in the Atlantic Fleet. The ship was named after Rear Admiral William McCoy, who had a distinguished naval career.
During its service, the USS McCoy participated in various training exercises and operations, including anti-submarine warfare during World War II. The destroyer was decommissioned on 1 June 1945 and later sold for scrap in 1947, marking the end of its naval service.
