Types of Gases
Gases can be classified into two main types: ideal gases and real gases. An ideal gas follows the gas laws perfectly, meaning its particles have no volume and do not attract or repel each other. This is a theoretical concept, as no gas behaves exactly like an ideal gas under all conditions.
Real gases, on the other hand, do not always follow the ideal gas laws due to interactions between particles and their volume. Examples of real gases include oxygen and carbon dioxide, which exhibit behaviors that can deviate from ideal gas predictions, especially at high pressures and low temperatures.
