Type 0
"Type 0" refers to a classification of civilizations based on their energy consumption and technological advancement. This concept is part of the Kardashev Scale, which categorizes civilizations into three types: Type I harnesses all available energy on its home planet, Type II utilizes energy from its star, and Type III captures energy from its entire galaxy. Type 0 civilizations, therefore, are those that have not yet reached the capabilities of Type I.
A Type 0 civilization primarily relies on natural resources and has not fully developed sustainable energy technologies. This stage is characterized by limited energy production and consumption, often leading to environmental challenges. As societies evolve, they may progress towards becoming a Type I civilization by innovating and adopting more efficient energy solutions.
