Tupou VI
Tupou VI is the current king of Tonga, having ascended to the throne on March 18, 2012, following the death of his brother, King George Tupou V. Born on July 12, 1959, he was educated in Tonga and abroad, including at University of the South Pacific and University of Canterbury.
As king, Tupou VI has focused on modernizing the monarchy and promoting democratic reforms in Tonga. He has also been involved in various charitable activities and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of his people, emphasizing education and health.
