Tunisian Politics
Tunisian politics has undergone significant changes since the 2011 revolution, which led to the ousting of long-time president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. The country transitioned from an authoritarian regime to a multiparty democracy, allowing for greater political participation and the establishment of various political parties.
The Ennahda Movement, a moderate Islamist party, has played a prominent role in Tunisian politics, often forming coalitions with secular parties. Despite challenges such as economic issues and social unrest, Tunisia remains a key example of democratic progress in the Arab world, with ongoing efforts to strengthen its political institutions.
