Ennahda
Ennahda is a political party in Tunisia that was founded in 1981. It is known for its Islamic orientation and aims to promote democratic governance while integrating Islamic principles into public life. The party gained significant influence after the 2011 revolution, which led to the overthrow of long-time president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.
The party has participated in several elections since the revolution, often advocating for social justice, economic development, and political reform. Ennahda has also been involved in coalition governments, balancing its Islamic values with the need for broader political consensus in a diverse society.
