Tunica language
The Tunica language is a Native American language that was historically spoken by the Tunica people in the southeastern United States, particularly in Louisiana. It belongs to the Tunica–Biloxi language family and is considered a language isolate, meaning it has no known relatives.
Although the language became nearly extinct in the 20th century, revitalization efforts have been made by the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe to preserve and teach it. Today, some community members are learning and using the language, helping to keep their cultural heritage alive.
