Tsar Cannon
The Tsar Cannon is a large bronze cannon located in the Kremlin, Moscow. It was cast in 1586 by the Russian master craftsman Andrey Chokhov and is notable for its impressive size and intricate decorations. The cannon measures about 5.34 meters in length and weighs approximately 39 tons, making it one of the largest cannons in the world.
Despite its size, the Tsar Cannon was never used in battle. It was primarily intended as a symbol of power and strength for the Russian state. The cannon features a large barrel and is adorned with various reliefs, including images of lions and other decorative elements, showcasing the artistry of its time.
