Truku language
The Truku language is an Austronesian language spoken by the Truku people, an indigenous group in Taiwan. It is part of the larger Formosan language family and is primarily used in the Hualien County region. Truku has its own unique phonetic and grammatical features, distinguishing it from other languages in the area.
Efforts are being made to preserve the Truku language, as it faces challenges from modernization and the dominance of Mandarin Chinese. Language revitalization programs, including educational initiatives and community workshops, aim to encourage younger generations to learn and use Truku in daily life.
