Sediq Language
The Sediq language is a member of the Austronesian language family, primarily spoken by the Sediq people in Taiwan. It is one of the indigenous languages of the island and is recognized for its unique phonetic and grammatical features.
Sediq is closely related to other languages spoken by the Formosan peoples, reflecting the rich linguistic diversity of Taiwan. Efforts are being made to preserve and revitalize the language, as it faces challenges from modernization and the dominance of Mandarin Chinese.
