Tropic
A "tropic" refers to a region of the Earth that lies between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. These lines of latitude are located at approximately 23.5 degrees north and south of the equator, respectively. The tropics are known for their warm climate, receiving direct sunlight throughout the year, which results in minimal temperature variation.
The tropics are home to diverse ecosystems, including rainforests and coral reefs. This region supports a wide variety of plant and animal species, making it one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet. Notable locations within the tropics include the Amazon Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.
