Trophy System
A Trophy System is an active protection system designed to intercept and neutralize incoming projectiles, such as grenades or anti-tank missiles. It uses sensors to detect threats and deploys countermeasures, like small explosive charges, to destroy or deflect these projectiles before they can hit their target. This technology is commonly used on military vehicles to enhance their survivability in combat situations.
The Trophy System was developed by Israel and has been integrated into various armored vehicles, including the Merkava tank. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated in real combat scenarios, providing a significant advantage by reducing the risk of damage from enemy fire.
