Transitional National Council
The Transitional National Council (TNC) was formed in 2011 during the Libyan Civil War as a political body representing the opposition against the regime of Muammar Gaddafi. It aimed to unify various rebel groups and establish a framework for governance in Libya after Gaddafi's ousting. The TNC sought international recognition and support to legitimize its authority.
The TNC played a crucial role in coordinating military efforts and political negotiations during the conflict. After Gaddafi's fall, it transitioned into the National Transitional Council, which governed Libya until elections could be held, marking a significant shift in the country's political landscape.
