National Transitional Council
The National Transitional Council (NTC) was a governing body established in Libya during the 2011 civil war. It was formed by various opposition groups to lead the fight against the regime of Muammar Gaddafi and to represent the interests of the Libyan people. The NTC aimed to provide a unified front and coordinate efforts for political change in the country.
After the fall of Gaddafi, the NTC played a crucial role in transitioning Libya towards a new government. It worked to establish a framework for democracy and held elections to create a new political structure. The NTC was eventually succeeded by the General National Congress in 2012.
