Traditional Mongolian Script
Traditional Mongolian Script is a vertical writing system that originated in the 13th century. It was developed during the time of Genghis Khan and is derived from the Uighur script. This script is primarily used for writing the Mongolian language and is characterized by its flowing, cursive style.
The script consists of 35 letters, including vowels and consonants, and is written from top to bottom and left to right. Although it has been largely replaced by the Cyrillic alphabet in modern Mongolia, efforts are being made to revive and promote the use of Traditional Mongolian Script in cultural and educational contexts.
