Toyotomi Clan
The Toyotomi Clan was a prominent Japanese clan during the late 16th century, known for its significant role in unifying Japan. Founded by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a former peasant who rose to power, the clan played a crucial part in the Sengoku period, a time of intense military conflict and social upheaval.
Under Hideyoshi's leadership, the clan achieved remarkable military successes and implemented important reforms, including land surveys and tax systems. However, after his death in 1598, the clan's power declined, leading to the rise of the Tokugawa Shogunate and the eventual end of the clan's influence in Japanese politics.
