Tipu Sultan
Tipu Sultan was a ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in southern India from 1782 to 1799. He was known for his strong resistance against British colonial expansion and is often referred to as the "Tiger of Mysore." Tipu Sultan implemented various administrative and military reforms, promoting trade and agriculture in his kingdom.
He was the son of Sultan Hyder Ali and succeeded him after his death. Tipu Sultan is remembered for his innovative use of technology in warfare, including the introduction of rocket artillery. His reign ended when he was defeated and killed during the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War, leading to the annexation of Mysore by the British.
