Hyder Ali
Hyder Ali was an important military leader and ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in southern India during the 18th century. He rose to power in the 1760s and is known for his strong resistance against British colonial expansion. His leadership marked a significant period in Indian history, as he modernized his army and implemented various administrative reforms.
Hyder Ali's reign was characterized by conflicts with the British East India Company, particularly during the Anglo-Mysore Wars. He was succeeded by his son, Tipu Sultan, who continued to fight against British forces after Hyder Ali's death in 1782.
