Tiangong 2
Tiangong 2 was a Chinese space laboratory launched on September 15, 2016. It served as a platform for scientific experiments and technology demonstrations in low Earth orbit. The mission aimed to test life support systems and conduct research in various fields, including astronomy and materials science.
The laboratory was part of China's Tiangong program, which focuses on developing a modular space station. Tiangong 2 hosted two crewed missions, allowing astronauts to live and work in space for extended periods. It re-entered Earth's atmosphere and was destroyed on April 19, 2018, after completing its mission objectives.
